Waterproof fabric alone does not make a finished cooler waterproof. Sewn needle holes, bound seams, zipper tracks, and attachment points can still allow water to pass.

Start with the commercial purpose of the product, not only its appearance. A lunch cooler used with ice packs has different requirements from a fishing cooler that may hold loose ice on a wet boat deck.

Avoid descriptions such as “high-quality material,” “premium zipper,” or “thick foam.” These terms do not create a measurable quotation basis, and different suppliers may interpret them differently.

  • Final random inspection
  • Full inspection for a small order when appropriate

When an open detail can change material consumption, tooling, production method, testing, packaging, or MOQ, the supplier should price it as an option or issue a revised quotation after it is confirmed.
